parking enforcement officers: scum of the earth

well, of course, i may be biased. but, come on now, these people really are parasites. they do not serve the community in a commendable fashion. now you may say, hey, these guys do their jobs, but so did the german military officers during world war II.
come on nick, comparing parking police to nazis you ask? well, i’ll tell you, it’s because i hate those guys. i hear about the violence that is perpetrated upon the ‘meter maids’ and i’ll also tell you this… i have no sympathy. none.
i do not condone or recommend a violent course of action, but these guys know what they’re doing. they don’t save lives, put out fires or rescue cats from trees. these low-lifes earn a paycheck by issuing extremely expensive citations to mostly just us normal people who have a hard enough time paying regular bills. applying for and accepting this job means that these people actually WANTED to have this job, which, among other things, makes them total and complete douchebags.
screw parking enforcement. i don’t get all huffy and angry at these guys when i see them, i just remind them of what us normal joes think of their trade.
last time i got a parking ticket, my meter had expired while i was dropping off a job application. i told the guy this info, telling him i was dead broke, ya know? have a little sympathy? but that piece of shit just handed me the ticket. i asked him if it feels good to hand out parking tickets and earn his living like that and he said, “no, of course it doesn’t feel good.” i told him that he was a parasite and to enjoy the rest of his miserable life. i fully support calmly telling every parking enforcement officer that you see that you think they are scum, parasites, leaches or some other kind of degenerate, blood-sucking life-form.
what’s that you say? irrational? it’s a necessary job? well, so is cleaning a toilet bowl, but i’ve cleaned toilet bowls and you know what? everybody fricking loves it! i mean, who doesn’t like to crap in a clean toilet?

oh yeah, thought you might want to know that in 2005 the los angeles department of transportation [ l.a.d.o.t. ] generated $115,632,000 via parking citations alone. the department itself [ Los Angeles Department of Transportation Chief Analyst Robert Andalon told KOVR-TV ] has admitted that during a regular day of issuing 10,000-12,000 citations, that 100-150 of them are issued accidentally to completely innocent motorists. imagine trying to tell the l.a.d.o.t. that you were given a ticket by mistake.

No way - parking enforcement are jerks!
Why blame the parking enforcement officer? Take responsibility for your own actions — pay for parking, read the signs, etc — parking your vehicle legally does *not* require anything more than basic common sense.
Nobody put a gun to your head and forced you to park your vehicle illegally. You could have put more money in the meter. Why don’t you admit your own fault in the matter and not blame someone blame someone else for your problems?

Yes, we are literate folk who know how to read signs and abide by the law…
But when you have to commute to school or work for 8-10 hours a day and the only parking around is hourly or metered, it’s hard to just sit there and take it up the tailpipe when you’re only trying to earn an education or decent pay to pay off morons like them — these overweight, low-life jerks whose only tools of the trade are a glorified golf cart and a 5-foot-long chalk stick who require no skill for their occupation whatsoever, which, by the way, makes it even worse that you’re paying their salary with your hard-earned, honest-living wages (or lack there of!).
That’s my 2 cents.

I do parking enforcement…I get all the dumb ass excuses…I give alot of breaks…If someone is going to pay their meter in front of me..fine NO TiCKET…I do give tickets to smart ass people, who start cussing and the name calling. Those people that have good attitudes that approach me..dont get a ticket…IT all starts with the attitude….And by the way..I have a great salary..retirement..health insurance..and job securtiy…even though the economy blows right now…I am not getting layed off or fired, because I generate $$$ for the city…I also work in a beach city and own my home in the city I work in….alot of folks think we make crap for money….think again….I do my job and go home and laugh my way to the bank.
